Our story

Simply the best

Rick Collins, The Guv’nor, an enjoyer of fine cigars and single malts, first looked into opening a cigar lounge and bar in 2005. In 2023, nearly twenty years later, he went home to London on a sabbatical and visited the ten best cigar lounges in the city.

He brought back two ideas. There is no reason a cigar lounge and bar cannot have the most amazing client service. And cigar lounges were stuck in the past, with their dark interiors, brown furniture and obligatory Scarface and Clint Eastwood pictures.

So Rick and his partner, Deb, reimagined the cigar lounge and sports bar here in San Juan Capistrano: fine whiskeys, bourbons and craft cocktails, cigar events, whiskey and tequila tastings, weekend music, and enough TVs to show every game.

My dream is now a full blown reality.

It is still a dynamic situation, but already we are blessed to have amazing members who treat my team and lounge with respect. Without our Brotherhood of the Leaf, and they know who they are, none of this would have been possible.

We have now opened up to host private events. The first few were amazing. Please consider our Big Beautiful Bar for your events.
